I have a question for all you sulcata owners that do not live in a warm climate year around. Do any of you keep your sulcatas outside in the winter and if you do how do you house them so that they stay warm and do not get sick? I am desperate to know! thanks, Deanna
RE: Sulcutta for adoption
If you can find some way to get him to northeast ohio I would love to give him an awesome home. I have other sullies and have indoor and outdoor setups. Where in Pa do you live?
I live in Ohio over by Youngstown and would love to adopt both of them. I have an inside and outside setup. They have their own room that is 8 by 16 in my house and they have 3/4 acre that is fenced and tortoise secure that they can roam in all summer long. Let me know if this would work...
I am very interested in adopting both of your redfoots. I will give them an excellent home. I have a couple already so I am familiar with their care already. They are inside my house in a big enclosure and outside in the summer in a huge pen. Let me know. I would pay for shipping and the...
How many do you have? Do you think you would be willing to ship? I live in Ohio and would be willing to take them if there was not too many. I have a cool tort room set up for the winter. The room is 8 by 16 and they have the whole room to run in. There are uvb bulbs hanging and heating mats on...
they are awsome! Makes me want to get on a plane and come and snatch them up. Did you ever think about shipping them? The cost would probably be high though. Hmmmmmmm. Deanna :)
If I was you and IMHO I would not put any peroxide on it. They have discontinued using peroxide in the hospital where I work because the did a study and found out that peroxide kills good tissue as well as the bad. Good old fashion soap and water and neosporin is still the best. Good luck with...
I brought all my sullies in for the winter 2 weeks ago and I could not catch 1 female out of her burrow. I finally sent my son in and it took him an hour to ger her out. He was in her burrow to his hip bones and then had his arm completely streached out to reach her. It was a struggle to the...
I talked to her about the sulcatas and they are 8 years old, a pair and she wants 600.00 for them. I told her I could not pay that much but if she dropped the price I would gladly take them and she told me she had a lot of money wrapped up in them and they were not rescues. Soooooo, no go. Any...
If you change your mind about shipping I would love to have your sulcata come live with us. I live in Ohio. Think about it am=nd let me know if you still need a home. Deanna
Believe me, after landing on my butt, the food bowl went flying and there was food everywhere. Like I said, I always stand to the side of him. No one else has ever did that. He certainly had the suprise factor in his favor! Deanna
