    Actuallynow that I think about it, they just started eating carrots a few months ago. [hr] I just replaced the bulbs in their habitat a few weeks ago, so maybe that will help too. When I cut back on their food, i assume this will still be a permanent shell issue?

    I think as long as you still have the uva and uvb light, then using a regular bulb just for heat should be ok. If it keeps the temp in the right range, i think it is ok. But others here may have more knowledgable opinions.

    Although their sign, slogan says "captive bred", there is a notice at the bottom of the page of adult russians for sale that says that they are "wild caught, imported in 2011" . What is up with that?
