I know there are discussions about how compact and coil fluorescent UV bulbs can be potentially dangerous to torts, but what about a compact fluorescent bulb that is strictly for lighting only, and has no UV emitted? I uploaded a picture. Thanks for the help! :)

I think it should be fine. The tortoise probably got it from climbing or exploring, that's why they have shells.

I can't answer your question about humidity but yes you can get the materials there. My advice is don't over think it. Make sure it is escape proof!!! And keeps predators out!!! And don't forget to Double check on other threads or ask us

Maybe put a life with welded wire/ hardware cloth to keep predators out. Could you give me more details about your cold frame and how it works and how it was constructed.
