I am selling off my Sulcata herd which includes 1 male Ivory, two female 100% HETS, 1 male 66% HET and 1 regular sulcata. I've had these for almost 10 years now as hatchlings bought from Ripirian Farms. All are healthy and should be mating soon. Reason for selling them is I am getting too old to...
Great tutorial on how an egg hatches and what to do with it. I must have read the same book at the "Library" because guess what?
From Einstina's 3rd season clutch on 11-14-2013
Here's a pic of her right after she finished laying her 1st 6 eggs in September this year, she's a dirty from digging and she was actually still trying to cover up the eggs when I put her on the wagon to take a pic. I think she was still in a trance, take a look at her eye. :D
Yes, this is the 3rd time this year and yes, it is the 1st hatchling I got from you and now she is making her own hatchlings. She started when she was 6 years old and 9" SCL. Her first time she laid eggs two of them hatched and I was surprised that any of them did. All I do is follow directions...
Einstina decided to nest for the 3rd time but 10 days earlier than normal. This makes it 18 eggs since September. She usually nests 4 or 5 times per season so let's see if she breaks her record of 19 this time.

Hatchling #1...
The adults are just as colorful but not as bright as they were when they were hatchlings of course. Here's a pic of the female when she was a few months old.
Einstina August 2005
Well, I have 3 right now that two are out of the shell but the top of the shell is still on them but they are walking around with it and the other one is just sitting in the bottom half but the top is gone/pieces. I would imagine that he/she is still soaking up the egg sac.
It's not that I'm...
Since I have a few eggs hatching and even more down the line I was wondering when you can actually call a hatchling a hatchling? I know when it first starts to peck/chew at the shell it's called a pip.
Is it when it first sticks out a foot, head, whatever or is it when it is completely out...
Have some progress today. Three of the hatchlings have actually picked their egg shell in half and are just sitting in the 2 halves. I took some pics with no flash as to not disturb them so they are not the greatest pics but at least you can see 2 of them pretty good, the third one has all four...
