    Redfoots for sale

I have 4 redfoot tortoises I am hoping to sell, they were mostly rescued from Craigslist last year in pretty bad conditions, I helped them out for the past year and they even spent the majority of the summer living outside. They are eating and drinking correctly and are active and alert...

    Unusual bond <3

Cute cat, My cats love that too, but I do have to warn you, allow her to do that at your own risk.... I have lost a tort from a cat before and its not fun. Yours may not have done so yet, but may use it as a litter box at some point and the ammonia in the urine stuck in that cage is enough to...

Uhh.. Can there be too much humidity?

I honestly don't know for a sulcata, I know that people usually advise you have a humid hide at 100% and the rest of the cage in the 80-90% range, but either way here is a bump, hopefully someone with sullies will stop by soon and answer you.

Praying Mantis lays eggs in indoor set up

That is really cool, that egg sack can have anywhere from 10-150 babies emerge from it, and if kept together they will start eating eachother until only the strongest are left or you separate them. Another interesting fact for you, did you know they have 3 smaller eyes between their 2 large...

Unreal! Praying Mantis attacks baby tortoise!

The common mantis can get up to 12 inches tall, and they eat more than their body weight every day, so once they get that big they don't have much choice other than to eat birds and the like, youtube mantis vs bird and you can see for yourself, its not just humming birds either.

    Closed Chamber survey

I use closed chambers for my redfoots, they are rescues that range from 7 inches to 11 inches. I live in CO where the humidity is fairly low all year so I kind of have no choice but to do closed chamber for them in order to keep the humidity where it needs to be, not to mention it helps keep...

Thank you for the suggestions, some more info about him, he is actually neutered, all of my cats are and have been since they were around 6 months old. I also don't think he is spraying but legit peeing, Ill try adding another litter box, hopefully that helps, and I will admit I can probably...

    Some advice would be appreciated

So I know this is a tort forum but many of you have cats and may be able to share some advice on my situation. This started about a month ago, out of no where my room mate's cat (Nathan Explosion) pissed all over my bed, while I was sitting at my desk near him, he made no noises or anything...

Zoo Med Economy Analog Dual Thermometer and Humidity Gauge Zoo Med

I like the digital readers with probes, I have a infrared heat gun and the thing is terrible, it says that the temp on my hand is at least 150f, and when I point it into say my fridge or freezer it still rings up around 100f. when I first got it, i loved it and it was spot on, but after only 2...

how long can a three toed box go without eating?

I would try separating as well, there could be some bullying going on that you don't see and she may be more inclined to eat if alone. Hope your vet visit goes well.
