If you want your sulcata to be healthy and strong, please put him back on the coir substrate, it's the only substrate that will give him the humidity levels he needs, I don't know what your breeder was thinking, it's especially crucial now to keep heat and humididity levels at peak performance...

my sulcata galileo loves the sprinkler and only warm soaks, hes too big for a tub now, so i made him a mud wallow and he uses it when it gets too hot out, he stays "inside" when it gets too hot and just waits for the temps to change after the heat of the day, its the same thing every day...

maggie, if you got the money and itll make you feel better than go for it, but TELL the person you WANT to feel better, gotta give them some guidance. sometimes, i can tell things, but i think its more to do w/ experience and wishful thinking and lots of hard work towards healing.
before galileo and marilyn came to live w/ me (both sulcatas) they were my neighbors, and they also had gotten 2 kittens. the torts lived in an aquarium on straight sand before i got involved. i knew something was wrong w/ them when teh cats started using their sand as a litter box and the...
im not familiar w/ peat, i know lots use it, find out if its pine based, if not then its OK, as long as it holds mositure and is deep enough. pine is toxic to torts, can cause blindness or death
