Hello guys! I haven't Been on in a while, but mordy is doing great! I bought him with a respiratory infection but he recovered and hasn't been sick since. He's with us about a yr now. He's a little small I think for his 1.5 yrs. measures about 6 inches, but is his shell growth ok? Thank you!

Thanks everyone! yea he's been thru a lot! But he's had no more problems and were moving him outside (in a shelter with a fence) because he no longer fits inside ( small living room) :D[hr] Oh and he's 9.5 months :)

I weighed Mordy last month and he was 60 grams and today he's 99 grams.i'm not sure if that's normal v should he be more? He's 7 months old,i believe. Thanks!

thats normal. but what worries me is that you say "any time shes been flipped over or scared half to death...." sounds like shes been scared many times. you should try to reduce this as stress affects them way more seriously than us. their brain isnt made to handle it well and stress can kill...

any updates? Soak it in baby food to get some nutrients and i agree that more info is needed to be able to guess what made her sick and how to fix it.

Are you sure its not dried out poop? Mine has something similar to that in one leg when he pooped and started in the same spot.I've been soaking him and it is still there.not sure if its the same thing though,i can't see too clearly.

That's a good idea, I've been meaning to get one too.just make sure you have enough shade :)

I like Hulk :) and by playing basketball, do you mean at home or at a park/court? i wouldnt have him in a park unsupervised. too many independent variables to worry about while youre playing (dogs, kids, misc. animals, people wanting to steal him). and if hes in your yard, a fenced off section...

im quite happy with his growth spurt, hes been eating like a machine. this is the same tortoise who had a really bad URI so were all glad hes doing much better :D this was mordy a month ago, and yesterday.

i love that show and i love that name! my favorite was when Sheldon moved to his mother's after his friends betrayed him haha. anywho, good luck with the baby, hes a cutie :)

He weighed 40 grams when i got him, and i weighed him today and he's60 grams! I'm Judy hoping he's fine, wee had a scare with the little guy.
