LOL Thanks for the birthday wishes!!! Yep, my house is bustling today, plus I am watching four extra kids this week, so the Easter bunny came and left treats for thirteen kids!!!! Let the sugar highs begin!!!
Do you have his humidity high enough? I've known them in the past to keep their eyes shut (or they get watery) if the humidity is too low. Also, could be a substrate issue. What type of substrate are you using?
I could tell late this afternoon that Tre was doing worse. Gave him a soak and he couldn't even hold his head out of the water, or control his body enough to get his feet down on the bottom of the water dish.
He passed this evening.

Sadly the little man is going down hill, no matter what I am doing for him. He's got an infection spreading throughout his body, he's on strong anti-biotics but if they don't clear it up, then there's not much left to do for him. :(
I had a similar problem before and I just made sure to spray him down at least once a day, and keep his substrate a bit more moist than normal, and it cleared up....
But I wonder if yours scratched his eye at some point? Do you see anything that looks like a scratch at all?
most (if not all) potting soil has some sort of perilite or other chemical based yucky stuff. top soil generally doesn't contain those things. there is always like an ingredient list on them, so just read it. anything ending in "-ite" is a no go! i think topsoil is pretty much soil, compost...

Well I'm giving him meds/supplements twice daily, twice daily soaks, and force feeding crickets. It's pretty easy because when he sees me, he opens his mouth in an aggressive way like "come to close and you're dead meat!" and then I can just slip stuff into his mouth! Here's is "DIE...

Well the last egg hatched!!! I ended up with 15 babies from my first clutch (out of 28 eggs, I incubated 20, but after a week thought only 15 looked fertile, and all 15 of those...
they're all so tiny, but there is no noticeable runt... yet at least.... 12 hatched now, three eggs to go! then i get to do it all over again in two weeks with another 15 eggs!
We're up to ten hatched, with five eggs to go in this clutch!
