Haven't posted in awhile. My little dude is doing well and eating a lot... and pewping a lot... what else can you ask for?
I've taken up a new hobby and since this is tortoise related I figured I'd post.
Ok, so Tuck has been using his outdoor enclosure this weekend. It's been nice out, like mid 70s and and he has access to direct sunlight and I have a heat lamp in a corner.... I noticed a few bubbles out of his nose thismorning... He's still eating like a pig. So what should I do? Is this...
Flipping is the exact reason I setup my tortoisecam because my Russian used to always flip itself. My work is pretty lenient so I'd rush home if it was unable to right itself in a few minutes... they they laughed at me a lot. :) My Greek luckily seems more flip-proof. :)
I have not found the zoomed one heavy. I can move it very easily actually... well before I put the dirt in it. The dirt by far was the biggest pain in the *** when it came to weight. :)
This it Tuck's little outdoor hut. I'm hoping this is an acceptable start?
I finally found the Kellogg's All Natural Garden Soil. I'll plant stuff in it later.
My patio has slats for it's ceiling so the direct light comes in bars, heh. Hopefully something is better than nothing tho? I'm...
My tort won't go in her enclosure. I have to walk her like a freaking dog every few days outside or on paper towels if it's too cold out for her to go. I am not impressed with it either because if I wanted something I needed to walk I would have gotten a dog to begin with!
As I'm preparing Tuck's outdoor enclosure I was wondering if I could put some salvaged snails in there as well? I save them from where I work since they kill them (or they get stepped on). That crunch in the morning is always a sad sound. :(
I saw a picture of a Redfoot eating a snail... Will...
The cool side uv light is on 24/7 because I ran out plugs on the timer for daytime. But since he sleeps on the warm side that shouldn't bother him. :) The warm side, everything turns off at 5:45 pst, but the camera I have adjusts to the amount of light so they pretty much are always visible. :)
