  • I live in Riverside county in so cal. Can I leave my Russians outside during the winter, or should I hibernate them in a mini fridge?
Josh, I have a year-old African Sulcata, named Wilbur. I soaked him today. As I was drying him, I noticed a darkish-spot on his plastron and a hard, irregularly-shaped knot on his leg. Since I found out I had cancer myself last year, my siblings got Wilbur for me, and having him has been cathartic. I am so worried.
    Any chance it ISN'T cancerous?-Marci
I live in Hemet Ca. I have a male and a female Russian tortoises and I let them meet for the first time yesterday. The male didn't seem interested in the female at the time. This morning I put them in my front yard so they could munch on the weeds and the male started exhibiting mating behaviors. If he is successful, how long will it be before she lays eggs?

Hi I've just joined, I have a 7 month old horsfield tortoise and have recently moved her from a vivarium to a table, that me and my girlfriend built for her and am constantly worrying about her. I worry about substrate, lights, food, humidity, and general well being.
If I put some pictures on I would be grateful for your comments and advice. . Thanks Mark.
Hi I am new to the forum and am hopefully getting a tort my parents are ok with. I've also researched it a lot but can they survive a Swiss winter (Geneva)? Please Help
It is w such a heavy heart and broken soul that I have joined this forum today. I came home yest from work to find my 4 yr old sulcata had passed away in his tort house which is inside my house. not sure if my tortoise is a radiated tortoise or an Indian star.. This morning it's just wasn't moving much and didn't want to eat.. I tried putting it to water bath to cool it down or let it poop.. After an hour or two.. It did pooped but it's very undigested.. May I know what might be wrong? Is it because it consumed some sand while I put it out in the garden?
    Hi, Josh,
Thank you very much. I have to learn how to use this forum. I just left a new forum, "Introduction. " about my new African spurred tortoise and not knowing it age, left a picture. Have a good day!
