I just found your site and has been very helpful. I have had my leopard tortious for 3 years now and have gotten so much bad information from the pet stores i have been trying research in multiple places. I look forward to joining and sharing. Thanks.

Thank you for all the welcomes. It's cool. I will post some pics tomorrow. I have to getthem off my other computer. I have an outdoor habitat and have been trying to plant natural food sources in it. He loves egg plant and zuchini and romaine. I bring him inside during thehot days of summer and the cold nights of winter. I learned about the heating blankets on your site and am going to get one. Tonight he is in the garage with a space heater. I hear some of you let them roam the house?

Hi, and welcome to the forum!

"Some" of us may let them wander the house, but "Others" of us try to discourage that practice. There's too much to go wrong with a tortoise on the floor.

Welcome. It's great you are doing your " homework" by researching care.
You really can't know too much. But you can easily get confused with contrary information. I've found that the most useful and proven practices are found here. Info on environments and husbandry practices that is more than a few years old has been improved.
I believe if you follow those here raising your type of tort successfully you can't go Wong. Additionally they are more than willing to help with direct feedback and answered questions. What could be better than that ?
Good fortune
Mike
