Okay called the guy, but with my hearing issues I could not understand a lot of what he said. What I did gather is he found him walking along the street two months ago and thought he had gotten run over. Took him to the vet. He wants $150 for him.
I know! If only this was a week ago, Jeff was in the area.
someone really needs to save this guy! looks like he was fed nothing but dog food
Hello....@Jacqui maybe Neal could help you out here if you can pay for shipping or if your hub is going to be out that way sometime soon. Are maybe even another AZ member. 150 is a lot for a tort in that shape, when you may have to put a lot of work into him. However, maybe he's "healthy" even in that shape.
He did have a horrible nutrition. Alfalfa, apes and lettus. He was eating kale in the pict. I've had him now almost a month and he's showing huge improvement. His color is brighter and he's eating a balanced diet. We named him Luckythere's celery in front of him in one picture. No nutrition at all....
I rescued him and we named him Lucky. We believe with the help of our vet he has a birth defect. Other than a few parasites and needing some of his scoop removed he is in good health, just a little LumpyOkay called the guy, but with my hearing issues I could not understand a lot of what he said. I rescued him..after taking him to the vet it appears it's a birth defect. He had bad nu triton which didn't help but the previous owner said he only had him a few weeks. Idk if it's true but he's in my care now and is a very friendly little guyThis tortoise is obviously in bad shape, but c'mon... None of us have any idea how it got that way, or who did what? I never want to see a tortoise looking that way, but we don't know how it got that way. I'm the first to point fingers and lay blame, but until we know who did (or didn't do) what, I think the focus ought to be on helping the big dude out.
