He looks good. Maybe a little dry... Try soaking him a couple times a week. Russians always have thicker growth lines than other tortoises, I've noticed. I'd say he's growing nicely. We would need a picture from the side to see about pyramiding but he looks great from this view!

I soak him about 3-4 times a week for 20-30 minuets but I will post a picture from the side

Oh okay. Then I think he looks a little dehydrated? Eyes can appear 'sunken' if torts don't drink/have enough moisture.
Anyone else on this?

Is the water too hot or too cold? Some tortoises like it some don't but just keep them in there anyway :)what are you using for substrate in your enclosure? Coconut Coir holds humidity well.

I try changing it to see which one he likes he seems to like it in the medium to hot range. For the substrate I use the coconut coir but I'm thinking now that I might want to raise the heat lamp higher away from the enclosure now that I think of it !

The water should be very lukewarm, not hot. Do you have a temperature gun? They are very handy because you can pointed right at the top of your tortoise a shell or anywhere else and find out the temperature of that area.

The basking area should be high 80's to 90's, and the cool side should stick around 75-80 :D Heat bulbs can dry out moisture fast, what wattage do you have?
(on second thought, how far away for the bottom is the lamp?)

I'm not really sure about the temp and the heights really like I know that that heated area is around the 80-90s but I'm not sure about the cool area I have the zoo med enclosure and yes I know it's not good I'm having someone build me a new one .im also not sure about the wattages of the lamps but when I do find out I will for sure tell you .
