So I have a baby redfooted tortoise and I was wondering a couple things first should I give him calcium powder on his food everyday and how much food should he be eating I feed him about 4-5 leaves and he only eats 2 maybe 3 same with vegetables he only eats half of what I give him and fruits.

Just experiment with him/ her on food amount. I have a young cherryhead and i just let her eat as much as she will early in,am and again in the evening. Whatever she dont eat i throw out. As far as calcium is concerned too much is as bad or worse than not enough. I personally would only use it once or twice a week sparingly. And IMO i wouldnt feed him/her but very small amounts of fruit while its still so young. Fruits have alot of sugar and the tort is so little. Good Luck with your little one.

As long as you're feeding the "right" type of food (a varied mix of dark leafy greens, weeds, leaves) then you should be able to feed as much as you want. I fed fruits, veggies and protein very sparingly for the first 6 months or so but the greens were dumped in large piles. My tortoises ate whatever they wanted throughout the day and I threw away whatever wasn't eaten before the lights went out. And I agree with @sissyofone about the calcium. A light dusting once or twice a week should be good enough especially if you provide a cuttlebone or two in the enclosure.

And should I be applying vita shell and it has d3

VitaShell is somewhat controversial, I think? Some people say it works and some say it doesn't. However, I do not believe the product will do any harm (if used correctly) so it's your call. I can't say that I've never "shell conditioned" my torts, but I have never used VitaShell to do so.
