careful guys! there's an ad on kijiji for the GTA that I think might be a scam.

I've been in contact with this person who is offering great prices & a huge selection of tortoises, but will only accept money gram, western union, or tt transfer (?) apparently all are not reliable sources of payment. they even sent super cute pictures of some leopard tortoises. be careful out there guys.

I got stung by a scammer last year and am still paying it off. I wish I could get my money back that is my only wish, oh and also to meet the guy and tell him face to face what I think of him. Damn Western Union Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I will always just figure if they want money sent through western union, money gram or any other like these, that it's a scam. Also, if they sell too many different species. My mortgage company could only take payments either by mail or western union and even though I know they aren't a scam, I would not send my payments through WU and told the mortgage company to get with the times and that only scammers use WU. Needless to say, they finally caught up with the times.

Please ... If you see something that looks suspicious like that. Send off a warning note to the host company for the ads. They keep changing their names and approach , but it might just save a few people from disappointment.

I saw one some time back where they advertised a sulcata baby for $200 and an Indian Star for $175. That looked all wrong. Then I saw they offered a 3 yr old Aldabra for $500. I reported them immediately.

Another was using a photo I recognized from Aldabramans pic of his babies.
That one was removed the next day.
Lots of dirt bags out there
It's sad.
