Alright guys I need your help again! I need to build a new indoor enclosure for my 4 month old ibera greek tortoise. I was told that he can't be outside all day because he might get too hot. I do have an outdoor enclosure that I put him outside about three hours a day. Any ideas on how to build a cheap but nice enclosure?

I used a sterilite bin and about $20 in lumber. All the lights, fogger, and heat pad I got on amazon for a nice price.ImageUploadedByTortForum1398298307.447675.jpg I plan on building a bigger one soon. But this is fine for now because they pretty much hide all day! ;)

At that age/size, you can just use some sort of tub. You can buy really nice tubs pretty cheap at feed/animal supply stores. Tractor Supply comes to mind. There's a pretty nice trough made for sheep that is great for tortoises. here's what it looks like:

Or a very large plastic bin would work too. That's what I use in the house for my babies:

I'm pretty sure the plastic one was under $30.

@Grandpa Turtle 144 I was told that babies shouldn't stay outside all day? My enclosure isn't in shade like yours is it still ok to keep him outside all day? Can I just have him sleep inside at night?

4 months old is still a little bit too young. Best to have your torts inside, I think to leave your torts outside all day is when it reaches around 6-7 inches, otherwise bring the torts in every night

Remember it's up to you but the little torts get UV light out side they get natural food , they get natural humidity out side , they get more space outside . But I cover my enclosure with chicken wire so birds and other ones cannt get to them to eat them . Now tonight the low is going down to 50 tonight so they are coming in but tommarrow after it warms up to the late 70 ' s they will go back out

Honestly it might look cheap but it is way better for your tortoise than a glass aquarium. Just saying.
