I was at the SEA-TAC airport today and many TX-bound passengers were being re-routed. Hope all is well.

Many people on my flight were being sent here to San Diego. Although not a bad place to be, I would have expected more people to be routed to somewhere closer. Being displaced isn't fun.

On another note, I wonder if the animals can sense the storm ahead of time.

I worry about your outdoor, covered habitats in storms like these.
Yah that's the scariest part for sure. The indoor will be fine. That building and the house are constructed with concrete tilt wall. Outdoor is a different story. I've added some additional drains in case the ponds overflow. But I'd imagine if we took a direct hit we would have some floating turtles.

I'm about 4 hr drive North from Corpus Christy and even here we've had pretty violent gusts of wet wind and rain, buckets of it! Very unusual for our area. Temps also dropped by almost 20F. That is a nice change after whole summer in the 90's
Take care and stay safe.
