I have had little Rorg for 3 years and Felter for over a year. I soak them a lot in stock tanks when it's warm.
Heretofore i have been certain they can't submerge themselves at all except by crawling under submerged objects.
But today i saw Rorg swimming several inches under like a water turtle. For a few seconds, anyway.

We have them wild all over the place . You see them swimming in creeks or ditches all the time . If you freak them out they'll drive for a second or two but pop right back up . They come to my mulch pile for the worms . Hahaha Crazy little guys .

mine dont "swim" they float and paddle lol I have a pond in my eastern box turtle enclosure and whenever I throw in my aquatic turtle food for my red eared sliders the eastern box turtles jump in and eat it with the red ears.
