As a matter of fact, Eric, yes. . . yes it is:

This is the view out my front door. You can see the tops of the 40 acres of almond trees in the distance, and my flowering pear right out front.

And on sunny days you can see quite a few box turtles coming out and sunning.
Not very warm today and some mild rain. Terrible tortoise weather. He's pretty lazy today indoors. How about sending some of those almonds our way, Yvonne? ;)

Spring is here and it's 22 degrees out right now! Yay! I want to cry right now but I'm afraid it would freeze to my face!

Another 80 degree day here. Tomorrow on the other hand will be dropping back in the 40's with some Spring Showers...2 of my 3 ornates are now up. They aren't eating yet, just soaking up the Sun.

Nice weather means time for some box turtle enclosure remodeling! My female 3 toeds are getting a larger pond. Sad to see the little hand made waterfall go but it's time!
Awesome! I've been doing the same. Getting the use out of this great weather. Working on my first pond EVER, which is by far, not easy. I also built them another larger cave that drops down to a lower level den. I Planted grass on top as well. I'll take pic of pond when I'm done.

Collected about a 100 or more Rollie's digging out my old waterfall! Chad Ching!
What do you do with the rollies? 2 yes ago I was searching for them and barely able to find 3 adults and 2 babies, put them in my torts' indoor "bedroom chamber", and it didn't take long for the colony to take off and multiply almost out of control. By now my biosubstrate is very much full of life (almost too much for my taste) with those darn pillbugs, tiny snails and earthwarms... what do you do with yours? Will your boxies eat them? My RFs occasionally do, though they seem to prefer the snails

That is a really neat waterfall! It would be sad to see it go but if it means more space for your babies, that's OK. ;)
Awwww!!! Would you look at that face!!!! How cute!!!!! Texas has had early start this year as well. Almost no temp drops through the Winter... really- no Winter this year
Same here. It was quite the mild winter. Very odd indeed. o_O

I feed them to my younger box turtles. I already have a colony but the Rollie's don't grow extremely fast so anytime you find a large amount of adults, it's a win. I am colonizing the others in a 10 gallon tank. Yeah, my little ones love these nice snacks!

Well, I think we will stop there for the day! I am just glad my wife wasn't home to see what I've done with 2 bad arms:) no one say a word till I get it done! Lol! Yeah, I knew I was going to have to tear the waterfall down to expand the pond the way I wanted it. I am going to redo the waterfall in my wife's fairy garden. I think she will enjoy it. @Colleen, I know I feel for you. The temp actually got to 74 today so hopefully it hits PA on the way!

I was going to ask how the elbow surgery went but it looks like it's not slowing you down much. I'm looking forward to seeing this project progress! Is that one of your new Gulf coast Box Turtles you posted with the rollies?

Elbow surgery rescheduled to this coming Thursday. Wife had to travel to San Diego so she had me reschedule it. No I couldn't do any of what I did today if I had surgery. Messing with nerves in arm. That's why I'm trying to get it all done before then.
