Oh, and Tom, you are the main reason I haven't been on the forum for the past 2 years. You have a response to everything that has nothing to do with you, and it's usually grumpy. Honestly, you are not very fun to hang out with.

Most people aren't fun to hang out with when you insult them. Just sayin'...

I thoroughly enjoy reading Tom's post too .........I personally can see Shelleysmom's point of view , I know 3-4 guys would swerve to run over a small animal ....... it shouldn't be a surprise someone who hunts would be more likely to be an offender than someone who can't bring themselves to kill an animal ...... then you have the "trophy hunters" , anyone who would pay 50,000$ to have some dudes take him out to wound a lion with an arrow , then follow him for 2 days , shoot him when he's half dead , cut his head and hide off , then leave his body to rot or be eaten by animals because they have no use for it , has a wiring issue , mustn't have gotten enough hugs when they was little ..........

Just catching up on this now; it's unbelievable. People who hurt animals are among the lowest of the low. Karma should serve them right

People who deliberately hurt animals are sick in the head. It's a pity that human beings cannot be all educated from childhood about the precious nature of wildlife and any other animals, and why they should be respected and treated with compassion. This should be a compulsory subject in the very first days of a child's school life and continue throughout. Unfortunately it is not done. So the laws against animal cruelty should be much more severe, but this has not been done, either.

I just read this and I felt sick. These people should be punished harshly.

Just to help keep us educated here, it's been found that ALL serial killers tortured small animals as children. This doesn't say that torturing small animals while young will make you a serial killer, simply that there is a real connection between the two. This is real enough that the FBI now has a file with caseworkers to follow the young people charged in these crimes to help keep them walking on the good side of the law.
I personally feel,(now that my kids are grown up and on their own) often this is the parents responsibly to watch and guide their children in life to be companionate kids and adults. I raised two girls. One hunts and thanks me for teaching her how to do so humanly and with respect for the deer. The other doesn't hunt but rides and owns a Harley Sportster. She learned from me to never be a victim and has her CCL like her daddy.
Is the world full of sick, deranged people? Unfortunately, yes. And as more of us procreate, we will continue to have more. I believe our job is to make sure we pass our good values onto them for a healthier world to live in. And we need to stop being bystanders and actively be involved helping those who can't help themselves.

ALL serial killers? That's actually a little bit hard to believe. You don't by any chance have a source that verifies that, do you?

Well that was fun…thanks? I found this first off and didn't delve much deeper. It's not the info I stated but pretty alarming all the same.
