Found this little guy off Studebaker and Wardlow in Long Beach, California! Just wondering What kind of tortoise this is? Any advise would be great!! Thank you

You've found someone's lost pet russian tortoise. Post some fliers in the neighborhood, vets offices, pet shops and animal control offices near you. Don't post a pic and let them tell you what type it is and give a description so someone doesn't try to get a free tortoise from you.

Because we are still in the middle of a horribly cold rainy winter, that tortoise is going to need a proper heat source. Also be aware that they are great climbers and escape artists.

You mean the top of the shell? I thought that was just bumpy growth... can we see a closer picture, please, @Shane Blackburn?
I have a very large screen to view at the moment and it shows up pretty clearly.
Maybe it was stepped on or abused by a child in his past life?o_O(The photo that says 21)

Looks like that little male Russian tortoise has had a pretty hard life. Lucky for him that you found him.
