What would be a good time to turn the lights off for my tortoise?
Off at night maybe an hour before you go to sleep and back on in the morning when you wake up. Guessing that you sleep for 8 or more hours.
Placing them on timers works well, but doesn't take holidays into consideration.
Having a bunch of lights come on while I'm trying to sleep isn't my idea of a good time....

I use timers for the light of my redfoot. Light goes on around 7 am and off around 8 pm. It also depends on your own rythm: I want to feed her before I go to work and like her to be awake then.

Ok cause I turn it in around 730am and turn it off at 10pm around 9ish but by 10 if it's still on she will just go to bed on her own

Try not to feed tomatoes too often, it gives them the runs. See if you can get a CHE (Ceramic heat emitter).
A lot of this info is probably very overwhelming. I UNDERSTAND COMPLETELY! Get a note book and start writing things down. You won't be able to remember everything... cute tort btw :)
Thanks!

I have made my tortoise crush a new enclosure. she has been in here for about a week and is still wheezing well she breathes. idk what to do to stop it. it's 24.1 degrees Celsius in here with a high of 28 and a low of 18 I don't know how humid it is in here but I sure can feel it! I've watered the ground/ her with a spray bottle everyday for the last 3 days. is there anything else I can do to help her? Her enclosure isn't fully finish yet!

You need to warm the enclosure up. 18C is too cold for a redfoot, especially a sick one. Add an extra heater or two to get your lowest temperatures at least 26C.

Yeah, your living area looks good, it will just be tough to get temps up with all that open space and air.

Is that in a basement?
