Oh dang... they are definitely on top of a mesh... ok did not know that....
How about this as a temporary fix??? i will get a light stand once i can so that the light won't be ontop of that for much longer. i want to make sure this little guy gets UVB!
I also just bought this light today. all the other uvb lights were the coiled ones .
I also bought a basic thermometer! I know it is not the best but it is a start.

Ps.... Buddy has been giving me the evil eye as I have been rearanging the lights in his tank and spraying it with water.. hehe

I'm not sure that bulb gives any UVB
It says on the pack to buy a different one for UVB. You might need to take it back and ask
