Hi and welcome from the UK :). Where are you located?

How long is this tortoise? Here's how to measure it
http://www.tlady.clara.net/measure.htm

And what does it weigh.

You say that it eats normally, but what are you feeding it? And how often?

Pictures of your tort, the enclosure and lighting will help us to help you :)

Hi. I m from India. He is 5.7 inches long SCL. Not sure bout the weight though.

He eats 5-6 okras a day. N eats tomatoes, watermelon, cucumber n carrot occasionally. For a tortoise of 8 year-old, is the length of 5.7 inches normal or is he growing too slow for his age?

He's most likely full grown and done growing. At that age and size he probably won't grow anymore.

Thanks for your reply G-stars.

The reason for asking is that I have a friend whose cousin's star is 8 year old and 8 inches long. So I was just bothered if my pet has a prob. She feeds him turtle food soaked in water and ripe tomatoes.

Also, I would like to know wen can I see him a bit bigger. Just curious to see him grow 7-8 inches. :)

Indian males usually only grow to be between 4-6 inches.

He probably has a female. As they grow to be 7-9 inches.

Yeah probably full sized however wouldn't feed to much tomatoes as they can be toxic

Stars don't grow that big. My stars are like 20 years old and they are only the size of my adult palm.
