How to detect worms?

How do you detect worms? Also, what should tortoise poop look like? Sometimes my tortoise's feces have a yellow tinge, is this normal or is it worms? There were no visible worms, it was just greenish/ yellowish. I think it might be an effect of his diet. Currently he is eating mostly lettuce. I will soon provide a bigger variety, but the pet store said just lettuce so I was originally just feeding him that.

The way to confirm parasites is to take a fresh poop sample to a vet and they'll look for eggs in it under a microscope.
