Nasal discharge

Please guys help me, i got a Indian star tortoise( less than a year old) and sometimes a bubble poops out from one of his nostrils. The temp is a good 35 c and night time is 28 c. Is it dangerous or life threatening and what medication shd I use. Thanking you in advance.

Define "sometimes"

A bubble if your tort has just been drinking for example is normal.

If there's mucus coming from the nose then your tort has a respiratory infection and needs to see a vet

The problem with vet is in my area there r no good vets who treat reptiles. And it is illegal to keep stars in India. So I am bit scared.

And is the room its kept in warm enough? Do you have air conditioning?

The enclosure does need to be changed like the care sheet says

Make sure you are feeding it as recommended in the care sheet and that you soak it so that it gets enough to drink

They readily drink water...my diet is on point and perfect. The temp is more than 30 and there is no air conditioning. I keep them next to the window platform and it's quite hot here.

Hi dear where you reside.if in Mumbai please share your location as my tort too suffered from respiratory problem and my bet who also sees reptile has helped me out now my baby is fine.if you want to consult to let me know.

Hello and welcome. Stars need to be kept warm day and night. nasal discharge is a sign a oncoming respiratory infection. It is usually caused by low temps and can usually be cured by warmer temps if caught early.
