Hi! My name's Maya. I live in Egypt. I don't have much experience with tortoises.i've had my first one for 2 weeks or sth but i've promised myself to take good care of him. His name's Leo but I honestly have no idea what type he belongs to. And I think he's 11-13 * not sure *. I know you guys are extremely friendly and I can't wait to get to know you! :)

Hi Maya, and welcome to the Forum! If you'll post a picture we can tell you what species leo is.

Post a pic of the tortoise. What type he is will determine how we help you get him set up. The correct environment is very important to his health. Welcome to the forum.

You say you've had the tort for 2 weeks , is it outside running around ???:- o
I've had him for almost 2 weeks. He's in my room, in a little enclosure that only has a little cave where he goes to sleep and a place where he pees. And it's on the floor and isn't so high so he stands on his feet and tries to come out. He did come out 2 times and I helped him the other times. He'd just wander around in my room * it's completely safe though *, sit next to me just looking what i'm doing. One day, he actually stood on my history book * that I was studying next to him * and kept checking it out then he played with my sister's tennis ball. He only eats from my hands. He never eats from his little plate and honestly? I like it. It's winter here so he spends most of his day indoors but I make sure to always take him outside when it's warm. I know i'm not the best keeper ever but i'm here and i'm looking for help and advice.
