eh...I disagree. I think there have been many times when they have been extremely lenient. Lenient to the point of even leaning over the forum rules fence as they let both sides poke at each other to relieve some angst.

Now, I'm going to run away before people start kicking my shins and throwing rocks at me!!!!!

Run! Run! Run! Run!!!!

No need to run. Everyone here loves you!

We are talking about apples and oranges here… or maybe cats and dogs… no wait… chicken wings and pork chops… Oh never mind. You get the idea…

I have been the recipient of the leniency, or benefit-of-the-doubt, of which you speak, but that is not what I was referring to. There have been dust ups in the past where one or more mods have involved themselves in ways that some see as inappropriate. I was also referring to the large number of experienced members that have been driven from this site by inappropriate (inappropriate in the opinion of the person who left…) censorship and post deletion.

My point is not to bash any mod present or past, or start any arguments. My point is that supreme diplomacy, of the level that Yvonne regularly demonstrates, is really not a requirement for the task of being a moderator.

There is nothing wrong with a good old fashion rock fight...wenuse to break out into them from time to time when we kids had a quarrel ...and you are right, if anyone did not plan to participate then they had better run like hell away from the battle field...heck, I even remember a rock fight once when I was grown...but a supervisor started that one and we quickly backed him in a corner until he hollered uncle...lol...hey thanks for that skip down memory lane, haven't thought about that stuff for sometime...

Judging by some of the past happenings I'm not sure that high levels of diplomacy are a requirement for this job.

Just sayin'...
I agree and a lot of the past replies say with the new members but it's not the new members that you have diplomacy problems with its with flustered old members :)

My skin isn't thick enough, but thank you so much for thinking of me, Jacqui!:D

I've agreed with a lot of nominations. I want to second a few of them and also throw out a few names for others to think about...

-I really think @Turtulas-Len should be seriously considered. He will patiently explain requested info and has been open to me asking him questions through PMs
- @Tidgy's Dad. He is all over every inch of this forum. I could never keep up. I also think he does go out of his way to make people feel welcome and pass on good info.
- @leigti always seems really knowledgeable and I've seen her act really diplomatically in threads
- @Yellow Turtle01 is also all over the forum and already seems to get along with many of the admins
@Anyfoot -Keeps his nose clean and obviously has a passion for these beasties
@N2TORTS - has lots of experience as a breeder etc and I do think experience and knowledge is helpful for an admin
@lismar79 -Really knows her stuff, has housed her tortoises successfully a variety of ways, and patiently works with newbies
@4jean ,@Moozillion, and @Careym13 have all stood out to me as being kind and supportive of new members. I could see each of them doing a good job acting as a neutral party.

@Lyn W , @bouaboua , and @ZEROPILOT it's a shame the three of you have declined, because you also came to my mind as good candidates.:D
I'm afraid I'm not around enough :p Thank you though.
