No ....it's no infectiono_O...just marbling within carapace. Your all good to go .....keep your young one as humid as possible to control pyramiding.

those marks but when a tort breeder said he had a shell infection I am really worried? Someone said and showed me a

Here is a Yellow foot from a few years back .....same attributes. Maybe some experts can chime in ...

No pyramiding. Don't worry. One of my babies had something similar. Well, still has...

Burmese black mountain tortoises(meps). No idea what it is. It seems to fade sometimes but hasn't gone away. It hasn't affected her growth or anything...

Are you talking about the little white squiggle lines inside the keratin? Yes, we're quite sure that's nothing bad. It shows a healthy, growing baby tortoise.

"bubble and swirly marks" or "white squiggly lines" - same thing. It's just that if you do a search for "bubble and swirly marks" you probably won't turn up any results, but if you do a search for "white squiggly lines" you'll get many threads in your results.

No, that's what I told you in my previous post. I said if you do a search for "bubble and swirly marks" you probably won't get any results.

But if you do a search for "white squiggly lines" you will get many results.

Hi,
Thanks Yvonne. I read them all you have gave me and it still seems to me that one know-one still really knows
for sure what they are? lol I just got really worried as you know about Sunny when a tort breeder said they
some kind of shell infection! And then I got even more worried when someone mentioned about pyramiding.
You dont think Sunny looks like he has that does he? Thanks

Sunny looks beautiful and perfectly fine.
There is nothing externally wrong with his carapace that I can see, in fact he is gorgeous.
With the right environment, including temperatures and humidity, he should be fine.
