Adopt or buy a baby sulcatta from?

I wouldn't buy one . You can adopt one for half the cost . If you're wanting a hatchling then you are going to have to talk to a breeder . Tom breeds them here .

I would read Tom's care tips . Then setup a enclosure . Test everything before you get a tortoise . The setup is whats going to cost you some cash . By reading the care tips you will not buy a lot of crap you don't need .

Good tips, thank you. I'll probably make my own tort table...lots of work but so worth it!

With sulcata torts you will need a closed chamber enclosure . Its all in the care tips .

Thanks again Mike.....I built one before.

When he says enclosed, he doesn't mean sides. He means the whole thing needs to be 90% or more sealed (has a top) in order to keep the humidity in.

If you already know this, then disregard this post.
