Can they share an outdoor enclosure with redfoots or should they be kept separate?
This is on species that could be kept with Redfoots. But I still don't recommend it. Redfoots are more curious than yellows in being kept together. Yellowfoots can also be known to bite and get semi aggressive. Especially males. Yellows tend to prefer darker, wetter much higher humid environments than that of Redfoots too. So, yes and no really when it gets to complete crare of both species.

I'm picking up a yellowfoot tomorrow! Kind of excited, because this is pretty much the first time that I've seen a yellowfoot offered in my area. He's coming as part of a package deal with another redfoot for my herd. I'll post photos tomorrow when I get home!

I need to build a massive tropical greenhouse in my garden. Brick built with glass roof.
Then I can have yellows and reds together, My now a friend who brought my hinges yesterday also brought her 2 yellowfoots to show me. Both about 13" carapace. I think they are gorgeous creatures, 1 of these was very tame and outgoing. loved been stroked. She told me that she will hold onto them for a year to see if I can get organised first. Too many idiots applying to her ads, one guy asked if they would be ok in a tank. She also has 11 reds she wants me to take.lol 1 is a wc cherryhead at 16" carapace, doubt i can ever take em all.
Anyway back on topic, do the yellows live more in the forest than out on the savannah planes. Are they likely to require the same care as a cherryhead than the northern redfoot?
