RE: Humidity range
I think 50-60% is best for hermanns while indoors. They will be perfectly fine in that type of humidity outside.

RE: Humidity range
Our outside humidity is often in the 80% range much of the summer. Do I need to re-think bringing a Hermann's to Louisiana? I know redfoots would LOVE our humidity. I'm kinda partial to the Hermann's but I want WHATEVER tort i get to be healthy and happy.

RE: Humidity range
Hermanns should thrive there, I know of someone breeding marginateds (outside) readily in Baton Rouge. Redfoots will be a great choice as well.

Thanks, Elliot! Even though I had researched Hermann's a lot, I was surprised to see a care sheet today that said they needed only 30-50% humidity and I panicked!

RE: Humidity range
Their "comfort" range is 50-70% but the Hermann's subspecies are all very adaptable and can withstand down to 40% and much higher 80%+) humidity ranges for extended periods of time. This is especially true when outdoors as long as they have an adequate, cool shelter.
