I was wondering where I can see the different shows that Texas holds each year and where. Does anybody know a good website or know any of the really good ones?


I am also looking for a few different tortoises to buy. Are these shows really good to purchase torts from? Or are they mainly an exhibit to go look at everything?

Where in Texas do you live? I always go to the shows at the Live Oak civic center in San Antonio (where I live). I lived in Houston for a few months and saw that there were shows somewhat regularly there. I've never seen a lot of tortoises at most shows i've been to. Some here and there but not a real good selection. Seems to me that the best way to get what you want is to order from one of our breeders here on this site.

I would check the two sites above for upcoming shows. San Antonio, Houston, and DFW have multiple shows throughout the year. As far as I know, Austin (Round Rock) usually has 1 show in August.
