Poop out lettuce?
My russian has pooped out almost like little chunks of lettuce but he also pushed out a lot of water. He kind of peed it out. What may be wrong? I am soaking him now.

Lots of undigested materials can be an indication of a heavy parasite load. Not saying that's what the issue is, but it can't hurt to go get a fecal done.

I did fee something's new. Cactus pads just a small amount. And had to feed just romaine as I forgot to get some greens so he had just that today. Could that be the issue?

Tough to say, I'd keep an eye on it. If things continue to go this way, I'd get a fecal or two done.

I'll see how he does tomorrow. He pooped before he ate and had the issue after he ate. Could have been the only feeding of romaine.

Sounds like he might have a parasite bloom, I'd guess flagellates, but I'm not a vet. I'd just bring a fecal in, that way you can avoid the general exam cost. If it comes back positive, the vet will prescribe an effective ant-parasitic drug.

Good luck! Keep us posted.

RE: Poop out lettuce?
Thanks! I will see if it was his diet. If not then I'll take one in, in a couple days.

Yup, bringing in a sample for a fecal sounds like a good idea..

Not sure why but he is acting and eating more if not better. I can't seem too see why his poop is weird. I will take a sample soon

Not sure what is causing this... He hasn't had any fruit, nothing too stress him, the only change was cactus a couple days ago... I really hate deworming torts as I have had really bad luck with the panacur.

He hasn't been outside this year either as his outdoor table was not complete and had some difficulty due to the Waldo canyon fire. He has no real reason but different food.
