Because I just ordered a baby Leopard tortoise from Eweezyfosheezy. I'm excited, payment has been sent and I will be ready when he/she gets here on wednesday morning.

My girlfriend already chose the name...Cooper. I like it.

Since it's sooo small i'm gonna keep it inside for a few months, and it's gonna be getting cooler so it just makes sense.

I have a 110 quart container with a couple inches of cypress mulch. I just ordered some seed from Sulcatafood.com and Elliott is nice enough to send him with some Mazuri as well.

By the time the temps start coming back up i'm gonna have an outdoor enclosure set up so he can really GROW!!

Yep I got him at 8am central time. Hes still getting acclimated to everything. Very skiddish. I had to go to the store and when I came back he had eaten some spring mix I picked up from the local grocery store. I have a small bag of Mazuri feed and I should be recieving some seeds I bought from sulcatafood.com anytime now so I can start growimg his own food. Hes already more spoiled than any other pet in the house! Ill get some pics as soon as I can, gotta start getting ready for work.

Been messing with his lights, with the high side at 93, low is 79, and humidity is around 70 overall, aside from maybe having a little hotter basking area Id say thats alright.

Is it your basking area that is 93, or is it just the average temperature on the warm side?

I would recommend bumping it up closer to 100 so there is more of a gradient...though 93 would still be safe in my opinion.
