    Plastic flaps for enclosure entry

Go to a restaurant supply shop and get a couple of the pvc strips they use for walk in coolers. I have them on a couple of my hot houses and they work great. My tortoises stay warm in 30+ degree weather with those, a heater and a thermostat.

Female Pardalis Pardalis won't lay eggs

I understand the issues of stress and moving her. I have a somewhat unique situation up here regarding soil. Her living area right now is about 10ft x 50ft. Our soil is very rocky (lava cap). You get about 6"-8" down and hit rock. Not really conducive to digging a nest. My plan is to dig...

Hello, I have a 5 year old female Pardalis Pardalis that won't lay her eggs. She's never been introduced to a male but she has a 14 eggs according to the xrays. She's been digging but has not deposited her clutch yet. My concern is that we have pretty rocky soil so she can't get a nest dug...

    Ploughshare torts

They are highly endangered and not available for the pet trade in the US. The ones you see on this forum are usually in China where they are illegally imported.

How Long Until He Is Big Enough?

He wants it bad, but he's not big enough to handle it. Since they're both still growing I'd give him a few years to be able to climb up and make it work.

    Guess the sex?

He is either a late 2010 or early 2011 hatchling. When I got him last May he was just under 3" and 80g. He has grown like crazy.

    New lines coming in

His color is starting to come in nicely. It really amazes me how much these guys change as they grow.

    Guess the sex?

Alright, it's time for another round of "Guess the Sex". This leo is 5" so hopefully we can figure it out. I've always assumed female since it has split scutes.
