I doubt my table will ever be "done", but here's another updated version!

Did a lot of research and asking around before switching to organic mushroom compost which I've mixed with a little topsoil, and so far my switch has yielded much better consistency in humidity. Was previously getting some drastic drops in humidity at night, even with half of the table being covered with plexiglass. I hated how much the coconut coir was drying out, matting and sticking to Tippy. So now it's just basically dirt and sphagnum moss and she is one happy little tortoise! My plants are actually growing now too! Looks great. You put a lot of effort into this aesthetic well designed habitat. Hope you have lots of success with Tippy!

Thank you! Since I corrected her humidity and heat a few months ago, her shell has smoothed out significantly! It's amazing what a difference it makes. Scared the crap out of me a few times when I would walk in and she would be laid out under her lamp with all of her limbs and her head out, but apparently that is a sign of a very happy comfortable tortoise :) I should have named her possum!

Hahaha my boyfriend said that he might have to grow a shell to get attention soon! Lol! Thanks for the compliments! I'm thrilled that it turned out so good and wasn't hard to do at all :)

This looks awesome. What is that ball of grass-looking plant? Not the elongated pot with grass, but the plant directly in the light?
