Well, As promised, here's a photo log of WalkingRocks trip To his new Home in Northern Oklahoma.

...a door opens and the Future calls.... WalkingRock awaits the grand Adventure....

A treat for the road then to my chariot...

HEY! I paid for a window seat!

Oklahoma is in the air!

After 4 hours in that box I need to stretch my legs, which way to my new yard?

NICE! ok, while I eat, the monkeys put my new house up...

It's been along day, go away and let me sleep!

A new day dawns...

Yes Sir, I like it!

Well, This completes my Life with WalkingRock. His new yard is 100' long and 56' wide. Tomorrow there will be a 3' metal sheet wall installed over the Storm fence to block his view of the rest of the farm and he may soon have a mama goat and 2 new kids to keep him company.

I agree with Yvonne. Does look like a great home though and he seem to have settled right in. Glad you got to keep him in the family.

well, I must say.... I thought WalkingRock had a few more fans than this.

Normally a post for WalkingRock generates a few post, not a whole bunch but quite a few. I think that 2 is a whole new low for any of my posting....... hhhmmmmmmmm.

I'm surprised by the lack of posts too. Walking Rock IS a favorite here. I feel bad you don't have him anymore.

I've always enjoyed your posts, I didn't know anything about Walking Rock moving to Oklahoma until I came across this thread. I haven't visited TFO very often the last couple months. If he's happy and your confident he will be well cared for all is good, but I bet it was a tough decision to make..

It was much harder for Cathie to let him go since she has had him since day 3 after his hatching, 17 years ago! But she is very confident as am I that he is in good and loving hands.

That can't be easy, I have a hard enough time being away from my pets for a week. I've had to rehome rescues in the past though and they've always gone to good homes. It really does put the mind at ease.

It still is... on Tuesday I tore down his old Bunker and the empty spot it used to sit on is a stark reminder when we get home from work that he is not in the yard....

This weekend I will be removing and filling in his pond and covering that spot with sod....

On a brighter note, Eros and Gaia have figured out how to escape their current enclosure and get into the yard proper. Without WalkingRock dominating the yard, I have been able to fence off 1/3 of the back area with the back patio and let the kids run free.
