I am so sorry. Thank you for sharing your story. It is truly a tragic one! I hope you will not be to hard on yourself. You did what you thought was enough to protect your baby. You saved a beautiful dog. I hope you will try again some day. You are clearly a wonderful person

i feel your pain, my tortie was outside in his pen, the dogs were outside, but they never bothered him, i go in the house to answer the phone, not paying attention that my bullmastiff comes in the house like he always does, he doesn't like the heat, i go outside & i can find my tortie, i'm digging & looking everywhere, i come in the house & hear crunching, i freaked out, he was using him as a chew toy, i was motified, he jump in his pen, grabbed him & brought him in the house. i couldn't believe it, now, my tort & my dogs are not left alone together
bad lesson learned

I am so sorry for your loss, and I admire you for coming here to warn others. Your heart is too big. You couldn't give up on a dog that everyone else had. I'm glad the dog has now earned your trust. Too bad it was too late for your tort. There was nothing you could do. You did everything you thought of to protect your tort. It was a terrible accident.

Thank you. Yeah I never wanted a dog because I had Bogart to care for. Now that she is trained and a loving happy puppy I truely love her and I'm trying to give her the best life. Im just so sad Bogart died due to me saving abby. Its definitely taught me all sorts of lessons.
