Hi,
We got a young hermann tortoise (2-3 yr old) 3 months ago. Recently we noticed he became quite inactive that he sleeps most of day and only eats a few bites of greens each time. We soak him every day he did poo most of time but only pee once or twice a week.
We are not sure if it is an indication of abnormal behavior of the tortoise and whether the enclosure settings and daily diets are correct. Could anyone provide any advice?
Here I attached the photo of the enclosure we have for the reference. We have a basking lamb and a T5 10.0 UVB. The hot spot temperature is around 98 F and cold side is around 68F. We use zoomed reptile barks only as substrate and his daily diet includes curly kale, romaine lettuce, bok choy, collard green or wheatgrasses. Mazuri LS or zoo med grassland are fed about once a week.
Thanks again for the help.
