Is my tortoise going to lay eggs?

Is my Russian tortoise going to lay eggs? She made this hole but then abandoned it and left.

She could be. They almost always dig test holes. At least my leopards did. Keep an eye on her. She may dig more test holes until she finally is happy and lays.
